Rose Lemonade

Description

Hibiscus provides the tart foundation and brilliant ruby-red color. Its naturally tangy flavor is one of the main reasons the finished tea can suggest lemonade even though there's no actual lemon juice in the dry blend.

Rosehips reinforce that fruity tartness while adding a slightly different fruit character. They're naturally associated with vitamin C, although I wouldn't market the finished brewed tea as a significant source without nutritional testing.

Lemon peel is what pushes the blend toward recognizable lemonade territory. Its aromatic oils contribute a genuine lemon fragrance and citrus flavor.

Rose petals soften the sharp fruit and citrus flavors with a delicate floral aroma. They're also visually beautiful against the dark hibiscus.

Why they work together: Hibiscus and rosehips establish the tart fruit base, lemon peel supplies the lemonade identity, and rose petals transform an ordinary tart citrus tea into something distinctly floral and springlike.
