Description
Roasted dandelion root forms the foundation. Roasting transforms the root into a dark, earthy, toasted flavor that can remind people of coffee or roasted grains. Dandelion root also has a long history of traditional use as a digestive herb.
Rooibos softens the stronger roasted dandelion. Its naturally smooth, slightly sweet, woody flavor gives the blend more body without adding caffeine.
Orange peel is particularly useful here because the citrus cuts through the heavier roasted flavors. It adds brightness and a mildly bitter citrus-peel character.
Cinnamon chips supply sweetness, warmth, and spice. You don't need much because cinnamon can quickly dominate a tea.
Why they work together: This blend is built around contrast. Dandelion gives you dark and roasted; rooibos makes it smoother; orange peel lifts the heavy flavors; and cinnamon supplies a warm finish.
Overall cup: Roasted • earthy • smooth • citrusy • gently spiced
